1. Using Blue Bonsai

These terms apply when you visit or use Blue Bonsai, including its public field notes, practices, and optional account features. By using Blue Bonsai, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Public access and optional accounts

You can read the field notes and use the public practices without an account. An account is optional and exists so you can save a simple history of practices you tried and whether you would use them again.

Accounts are for people who are at least 18 years old. You are responsible for access to the email address used to sign in and for activity through your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone has accessed it without permission.

3. Saved information

The current product does not ask you to submit journal entries, symptoms, diagnoses, or free-form personal notes. If you choose to create an account, the active product saves your email address, app preferences, and your practice history. You can export that history or delete individual entries or your account. Our handling of current and legacy beta data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Use Blue Bonsai only for lawful, personal purposes. You may not:

• interfere with the service, its security, or another person's use;
• probe, scrape, or access the service through unauthorized automated means;
• impersonate someone or use another person's account without permission;
• copy or redistribute substantial parts of the service or its original content; or
• use Blue Bonsai to violate a law or another person's rights.

5. General information, not care

Blue Bonsai offers general educational and lifestyle content. It does not provide medical or mental-health advice, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or crisis monitoring. It is not a substitute for a qualified professional, and using it does not create a clinician-patient, therapist-client, or other professional relationship. Please read the full Disclaimer.

6. Our content and your license

Blue Bonsai and its original text, design, branding, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose. These terms do not transfer ownership of Blue Bonsai or its content to you.

7. Third-party services and links

The service relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, and storage. It may also link to outside resources. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. Their own terms may apply.

8. Availability and changes

Blue Bonsai is a small, experimental project. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features or the service, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may restrict access if these terms are violated or if doing so is reasonably necessary to protect the service or others. You can stop using the service or delete your account at any time.

9. No warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BLUE BONSAI IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY. NOTHING HERE EXCLUDES A WARRANTY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BLUE BONSAI AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, PROFITS, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED, OR ANY NON-WAIVABLE CONSUMER RIGHT.

11. Applicable law

These terms are governed by applicable law, without overriding any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
